After a long hiatus from posting, I’ve returned to post a new music video from the legendary Massive Attack. The song is called Splitting the Atom from their new album Heligoland; and the amazing video is directed by Edouard Salier. Check it out:
It’s been a while since I posted, and I’ve seen a lot of cool stuff since my last post, so stay tuned. I’m going to kick things off again with a cool little track by the Brentford All Stars, crank up the bass and check it out:
The Mill is currently creating some of the hottest commercials on TV. They bring a wicked mix of 3D, live action, seamless compositing and some seriously creative ideas. If you’ve seen their work, I’m sure you can agree that these guys know how to turn heads.
Their 2009 showreel is nothing short of spectacular. It is packed full of their latest and greatest, and to top it off, they cut it to an awesome track by Trentemoller - “The Forest”. Check it out!
Herr Barr: a sweet track by Chris Clark and a sweet music video by Passion Pictures’ Dimitri Stankowicz. If you like music and design, then you’ll love this. Check it out!
Another great box set that I own was released by Palm Pictures and showcases the work of some of the most creative music video directors. The first of 2 box sets features the work of Spike Jonze, Chris Cunningham, and Michel Gondry. These guys have turned their music videos into an art form, and have put out, in my opinion, some of the best music videos out there.
Great music, great videos, and a ton of cool behind-the-scenes features and audio commentary. Perfect for a bit of creative inspiration.
Here is a classic by Michel Gondry for the song “Let Forever Be” by the Chemical Brothers.
